Op. Dr. Ferşat Muhacir was born on 14 April 1967 in Tehran. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. He began his higher education at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine, studying medicine there between 1986 and 1992.

After completing his medical education, he decided to specialise in ophthalmology and began his residency at 19 Mayıs University in 1993. He continued his specialty training at Gazi University in 1996 and completed his specialisation in ophthalmology in 1997.

Following his specialty training, he took part in an observership programme at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) to further develop his knowledge at an international level. This experience gave him the opportunity to closely follow current surgical techniques and diagnostic approaches.
