For glaucoma (eye pressure), patients can usually control their eye pressure by using one or two or three types of drops, but after using these drops every day for years, the conjunctival tissue of the eye begins to react.

This reaction may be against the active ingredient in the drug as well as against the protective substances in the drops.

If these reactions manifest themselves in the form of severe flushing, burning, stinging and watering, the patient notices that the quality of life is severely reduced due to these side effects while on the one hand he has to use drops to control eye pressure.

If the patient is lucky and the eye structure is suitable, the number of drops of the patient can be reduced by applying SLT laser (selective laser trabeculoplasty) for open-angle glaucoma and YAG laser iridotomy procedure for narrow-angle glaucoma. and thus the side effects are greatly improved.

If he will not benefit from these procedures, MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) options, which have much less side effects than previous traditional glaucoma surgeries, can be offered to the patient. Surgeries of this type are very effective solutions, which can save the patient from all the drops from which he suffers from side effects.
